Multiplication times tables are a vital part of a child’s mathematical education.
The first times table that most children learn is the two times table.
In days gone by, children learned to multiply largely by rote. However, this sort of memorization has fallen out of favor in some places recently.
In its place is a greater desire for children to learn the concepts of multiplication, to really understand what the product of two numbers means.
While this is no doubt admirable, it is difficult to learn all of the multiplication tables without at least some sort of commitment to memorizing them.
This simple recitation of the two times table, to an unobtrusive beat is designed to facilitate this. We hope parents and children alike enjoy it!
