Three Times Table Song

Multiplication times tables are a vital part of a child’s mathematical education.

This version of our 3 times song is markedly slower than our other version – and is intended for children who are just starting to learn how to multiply by 3.

This song’s purpose is to help children commit the three times table to memory. The numerical concepts of how multiplication works are extremely important – but even so, an element of rote learning is virtually essential. We hope you find this simple tune a fun way to help your child excel in this stage of their mathematical development.

The three times table is usually taught after children have mastered their two, five and ten times tables.

Given that children are often a little older when they learn to multiply by 3, it is important for parents to enthusiastically encourage and help them. Otherwise, if their motivation is beginning to drop and other distractions are getting stronger, this could be the point at which they start to fall behind.
