Nine Times Table Song

Multiplication times tables are a vital part of a child’s mathematical education.

This version of our 9 times song is intended for children who are just starting to learn how to multiply by 9.

Multiplication songs for children are an effective and fun way to introduce kids to concepts such as the times tables.

Multiplying by nine is often one of the final tables taught – but it is actually one of the easiest because of the pattern formed by the number sequence. The first digit of each number rises by 1 and the second digit reduces by 1 as you progress through the table – and once kids learn this pattern, they should find it easier to skip count by nine.

There is also a nine times tables trick – simply hold your fists in front of you with your knuckles pointing to your eyes. To find the answer to any nine times table point to the relevant knuckle – the number of knuckles to the left will be the first digit and the number to the right will be the second digit in the answer.

We hope you find this simple tune a fun way to help your child excel in this stage of their mathematical development.
